3-18-20 Update on E.T.C. due to current Health Concerns:
I want to keep the schedule in tact however any (or all) of the events may be canceled (if needs be) to comply with what State and Federal health/government officials are recommending to get through this as quick as possible. I also want to protect and respect my riding friends- especially those who may have kids or older family members. In general I like to be optimistic. I would like to believe our country may be on the downhill side of this in a month, but looking at other countries spells out a different story and time-line to me.
The Tryals Shop is going to continue as always to be open and to support our customers/riders. We will continue to do our best supplying parts/service, lessons, and a place to ride. As far as practice riding, we will no longer have scheduled practice days/nites but will instead encourage folks to come any day or time in random (in lieu of grouping on one specific day or time). We have the night-lighting and are nearly ALWAYS here---- so we welcome you to fit it into your schedule at your convenience. In the event we do have to cancel some or all of the E.T.C. Events.. we do have a back up plan to continue to ride. Each month- May to end of Fall I will mark sections. My goal would be to offer new sections each month and riders would be welcome to come and ride the course at any time. Keep score if you like, and at the end of the month I will post everyone's best event score. I will be using the same format I used last year with an easy group of sections and a harder group of sections. Each group of sections will have one gate split--to 'up' the challenge for those riders looking for that. The gate split is an optional line. You can ride it in any section or skip it in any section. Its there so you can fine tune your skills and optimize your fun. Scoring is the conventional 0,1,2,3,5 with a + for the section (or sections) that you choose to ride the option gate.
I see Google has added a new message on their home page. "DO THE FIVE"---- Not what Trials Riders want to hear (!)-- but not a bad idea to keep their version in mind.
1. HANDS Wash them often
2. ELBOW Cough into it
3. FACE Don't touch it
4. FEET Stay more than 3 feet apart
5. FEEL sick? Stay home
Hope to see you all soon, Mike, Laurel, Aaron, Moonie
